You may sell your Fund shares at any time and in a number of ways, including telephone or written instructions, internet transactions, and checkwriting. You will be paid the market price for your shares on the day we receive your order.
Note: To prevent excessive and/or rapid trading of the Funds, shares redeemed within 30 days of purchase are subject to a 2% early redemption penalty.
Any redemption, including exchanges and checks written by a shareowner, constitutes a sale for US income tax purposes. Investors may realize a capital gain or loss on the redemption. Consolidated 1099 or 1042 tax information is provided to investors each January.
Shareowners who are not US taxpayers may be subject to foreign withholding tax on income dividends under US provisions applicable to foreign investors. Capital gains distributions are not subject to foreign withholding.
To open your account, send a completed and signed application found at the back of the Prospectus along with your investment check. Please make the check payable to the Fund of your choice (either Income or Growth).
To ensure that investments meet the requirements of the Islamic faith, the Adviser (Saturna Capital) follows guidelines established by the Fiqh Council of North America (FCNA), a non-profit organization serving the Muslim community.
Shareowners may authorize the use of electronic funds transfer to purchase or redeem shares without transaction fees by completing the appropriate section of the application form. Purchases and redemptions can be automatically scheduled.
Shareowners may also redeem by writing checks for amounts of $500 or more. Upon request, a Fund will provide a small book of blank checks for a $10 fee, which may then be used to write checks to any payee. Checks are redeemed at the price next determined after receipt by the Fund’s custodian. To use this service, request the check writing feature on the application.
The Funds impose no fees on share purchases or sales, and no deferred sales charges. Please see the Prospectus for a complete discussion of management fees and other substantial operating expenses.
